Surface Pro 2017 turning off or hibernating randomly!!!

For some reason my new Surface is shutting off randomly. I check the setting and a few other things but it's still randomly turns off without warning. I'm losing some of my school work because of it. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hey Everyone,

As of 7/14, the fix for this issue has completed testing and is now live, please go update your Surface Pro via Windows Update to get the latest download. You can obtain this fix by checking Settings> Update & security > Windows Update

The Surface Pro Update History page has been updated with the details of this release and the update is also available on the Surface Pro Drivers and Firmware page as part of the MSI installation package available for download.

    Update: I haven't had a problem with it hibernating yet so far so good but I did notice a new problem, every once in a while my computer will get this faded multiple black lines in the middle going horizontally. It comes and goes. It only happens when it's on battery mode, never happens when its plugged in. You can't really notice it but it's like the computer wants to go out or die. Another problem is battery life; I'm not really browsing but I'm mainly doing school work and I'm not getting a whole days worth of battery life.

    I'll be calling Microsoft about the problem with the black lines.

    Just went into the Microsoft store in New York and asked about this problem there. First guy didn't seem interested in the issue. Just said to bring the device in and walked off. Asked another lady in store. She didn't know what hibernate was. Hopefully a fix will be issued soon

    Sad about the retail staff.

    Since there have been just about 0 acknowledgement of this by MS I'm not hopeful this is going to be resolved. This issue is just annoying but no deal breaker for me. Not everyone is going to accept this though

    Hello,

    I've got a brand new Surface Pro i7 512Gb and I've also got that problem of random hibernate in the middle of my work.

    I couldn't identify a cause or a sequence that leeds to it. It seems to happen only in laptop mode and not in tablet mode. Altough I didn't use the tablet mode often up to now.

    I don't have any Bluetooth accessory connected. No pen as it hasn't been delivered yet.

    I use sometimes a Logitech mouse with a unifying usb receiver

    I use a Surface pro 3 keyboard, no alcantara, no fingerprint sensor

    Office Pro Plus 2016 is installed as well as AutoCAD 2018 and Adobe Creative Cloud 2017.1.0

    I use the Hello login with face recognition

    Else nothing special.

    It is my professional computer as AutoCAD and MS Office university teacher switching from a MacBookPro. Bad customer experience so far... I expect a rapid solution to this problem on a highend $$$ laptop built by the OS maker...
