Surface Pro 2017 turning off or hibernating randomly!!!

For some reason my new Surface is shutting off randomly. I check the setting and a few other things but it's still randomly turns off without warning. I'm losing some of my school work because of it. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hey Everyone,

As of 7/14, the fix for this issue has completed testing and is now live, please go update your Surface Pro via Windows Update to get the latest download. You can obtain this fix by checking Settings> Update & security > Windows Update

The Surface Pro Update History page has been updated with the details of this release and the update is also available on the Surface Pro Drivers and Firmware page as part of the MSI installation package available for download.

    I've had 3 of these TODAY! All within about 10 minutes of each other.

    It is clear more of us are having this unexpected behaviour. Will MS acknowledge there might be an issue and they are investigating? 

    I'm not seeing much being said.

    Love my Surface though 😊

    Let's see if this helps Microsoft Respond: I was on track to buy my first Surface Pro this week, and then I read about this issue at Windows Central.

    I'm waiting to make my purchase until Microsoft acknowledges the problem and talks about solutions.  I don't feel confident making a purchase of this magnitude with it still up in the air whether this is a manufacturing defect, a driver error, or some other kind of unsolved bug. 

    I was really excited about the new Surface Pro too -- this is a bummer.

    Microsoft, any timetable or strategy here?  Thanks.

    I have the m3 version, no pen, and it's been doing the same. Randomly the screen turns off, and I have to push the power button to turn the surface back on.
