Hey Everyone,

As of 7/14, the fix for this issue has completed testing and is now live, please go update your Surface Pro via Windows Update to get the latest download. You can obtain this fix by checking Settings> Update & security > Windows Update

The Surface Pro Update History page has been updated with the details of this release and the update is also available on the Surface Pro Drivers and Firmware page as part of the MSI installation package available for download.

    Split from this thread.

This is from the event log. Has happened three times today since i started monitoring the problem and "Event Viewer." I do not have any Bluetooth devices connect during this time. Running apps are Outlook, Chrome, OneNote, and Event Viewer.

From Event Viewer, occurred 3 times today immediately after my (2017) Surface Pro goes Randomly to sleep/hibernate mode. These 3 listed items occurred in the same order all 3 times.

I have the same problem with my new Surface Pro i5.

First I thought it was my fault, but reading that this happened to a lot of people gave me more and more confidence that this is not a premium device, for a premium price.

Is Microsoft working on a solution for that?

Cause if they are not, I have to consider sending this device back. Doing stuff like that at random points is way to irritating for any sane human.

one way is to open an IT support case

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/gp/support-options-for-business (they will

refund any charge if it is a Microsoft problem, and this would seem to be..)

    >>How can we forward this to Microsoft? I'm experiencing this on 3 units I've got in my company

I've already returned mine, and reluctantly ordered a new iPad and a new laptop from another vendor. I was in the market for both a new tablet and a new laptop, and I thought the Surface Pro would have been the perfect thing for me, serving as both devices. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, as I don't have the patience to deal with these issues while Microsoft and/or Intel work out their glitches with this. (Hearing how previous generations of the Surface devices has issues and how long it took for them to be addressed -- several months -- really influenced my decision.)
