Hi Everyone,
We have been receiving a lot of issues regarding this and we would like to inform you that we are releasing an update patch tomorrow to resolve this.
Please make sure to have your Surface devices connected to the internet so that it can automatically update or you can do a manual update so the patch can be installed.
Regards.
Is this legit? To say nothing of the language not being particularly artful ("lots of issues regarding this"???), in my experience, MS never admits that it has "lots" of problems of any sort. This note also is not signed by anyone, much less someone with
a clear MS affiliation.
MS, if this note was really posted by you, could you confirm that. If this message is a hoax, then I would appreciate MS also making a posting saying that it did not authorize the comment and is making no update.
If this is legit, then I am cautiously optimistic and thankful to those at MS who have been working on the issue.
i ve read on an article of zdnet: Update: A Microsoft spokesperson said the company had nothing more to say beyond the statement from "BryanH" quoted above. The company also is not quantifying beyond "a small group" the number of people
affected by this issue.
so I guess its not a hoax.
