Surface Pro 2017 turning off or hibernating randomly!!!

Just here to say that at least for me the issue still isnt fixed... ive installed the latest firmware, do not have any acsessories (like keyboard or pen for example) and i am not causing the device to heavily heat up... sad to see these kind of issues existing and not getting fixed in a more or less 800€ device... really dissapointed yet still hoping something will change...

Have you tried to uncheck the setting I mentioned a few posts back? Something like "save energy when the device sences you are not there"

This did solve the Problem for me, hopefully it will for you as well.

 I must admit i didnt read through all the pages of replies that are below this thread yet i searched for the setting you mentioned in the settings... Sadly my device lanuage is set to german and litteraly translating what you said didnt show any results... It would be really nice if you could tell me on which page your "comment that you posted a few posts back" is since i searched the last 3 without any luck... Still thank you sooooo much for trying to help... Ill notify you if i find out what this certain setting is set to on my device.

I changed this setting in Windows 10 1703, I just searched for it under 1709, and am not sure it is still there...

If it is there you should find it under

"System>Netzbetrieb und Energiesparen"

In Version 1703 there was a Switch for Save Energy when Device knows your not there. Under 1709 I can't find it anymore.

Haha quite the surprise youre speaking german aswell... yet ill try to write half decent english so everyone will understand... sadly i didnt find your setting however if it helps i literally have set every single setting in "system>netzbetrieb und energiesparen" to "never" yet the random hibernation still occurs... Really hoping microsoft acnowledges that quite a few people still have this issue and try to fix it however given microsofts track record (which i only know about due to google) i highly doubt anything major will come from this thread. i believe il just have to live with this problem since my warranty cannot be used anymore... thanks alot to everyone taking the time to read this...
