Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter with Surface Pro 3 Resolution Problem

My Surface Pro 3 is fully updated with the latest firmware and updates and the wireless display also has the latest updates.

When I have my bluetooth on and I connect to the wireless display adapter, my TV's max resolution that I can set is 1366 x 768 but when I turn my bluetooth off first and then connect to the wireless display adapter I can set my TV to 1920 x 1080.

It's kind of annoying to have to turn bluetooth off first before I connect to my tv. Is there something I can do to fix this issue?

    OK another quirk:

    When I did the test above I had my SP3 in the docking station. I removed it from the docking station and it lost contact with the wireless display adapter. Took several tries to get it reconnected and when it did the resolution was at 1366 X 768 again!

    I had tried moving the SP3 back and forth from the docking station....(.that's ultimately what I want the wireless adapter for....when I'm on a conference call I want to take notes on the SP3 but retain the external display so I can look things up, etc.) Even before I found this thread and knew about the bt issue it was loosing connectivity with the adapter when I would move it from the dock or replace it. This is probably a totally different issue but somehow it seems to be connected.

    Anyone here have the same issue?

    Resolution on my Samsung monitor was 1366 X 768. After reading through this thread I shut down Bluetooth on my Samsung Galaxy S6. Reconnected my MSFT wireless display adapter and PRESTO CHANGO the resolution went to 1920 x 1080. I have reestablished Bluetooth on my S6 and the resolution is still 1920 X 1080. I did not disconnect nor flatten my Arc mouse. It remained connected as did my pen.

    So, it seems to be the phone that was causing the problem.

    Thanks everyone for working through this problem - July 29 (Windows 10) can't come soon enough!

    FYI: It worked until 10 Minutes ago with my workarround.

    I lost connection. Now i am back on 720p, can't even set a higher Resolution when extending Displays. AND: There is no Sound!

    DO SOMETHING MICROSOFT AND INTEL!!

    I can't believe that no one at Microsoft tests agains a Surface 3 pro!

    Any workaround posted here is actually more then microsoft has done till now. I really appreciate what you are doing here Ms. Bowman. But communications politics in this case it typical for microsoft.

    All this windows 10 open communication blabla means nothing if you cant get one single word from an offical in this issue here with a bug knowen for months and nothing happens.

    Sounds hard but is the truth.
