My Surface Book is an absolute fire hazard... Microsoft can't even tell me how to properly/safely dispose of it... I would certainly join a class action...
Microsoft Surface Book Class Action Lawsuit
My Surface Book has also suffered the dreaded swollen battery that has caused the bottom of the keyboard to delaminate. The swollen battery is making my $3,000 Surface Book a dangerous hazard due to the possibility of fire and explosion. After many hours of extreme frustration talking to Microsoft Support, I am so upset. Is there a class action lawsuit for this issue?

2023-01-10T20:26:16+00:00 Microsoft rejected my warranty claim as they said I tampered with my Surface Book 2.
I found this post for a slightly different complaint, yet I am curious if others have had the same issue I experience with Microsoft. We did not tamper with the computer. I requested Microsoft send me the pictures that show the computer we purchased directly in a Microsoft store, failed during warranty coverage, and then sent to Microsoft has been tampered with.
They just keep pointing back to their technicians as their evidence that the device was tampered upon received at the service center and their service center technician "confirmed there is an internal modification of the unit and missing components." I was told no point to escalate further as the answer will be the same.
I never tampered with or modified the computer. I just used the computer as users do and I wanted to apply the Complete Care as purchased when the computer would no longer boot up from what seemed like no longer able to charge.
Have others been told the same from Microsoft when you know it is not true? Or found the computer came "new" from Microsoft with signs of being tampered with?

I was told no point to escalate further as Microsoft's warranty rejection position will be the same.

2023-01-24T06:18:54+00:00 first of all, i'm lost for words but sorry that this incident has occurred to you, what a surprise now that they were playing a blame game, well one thing for sure, they were pointing fingers back to the consumer whom were honest users........they always had this arduous reasons to steer clear away from the issues that they created back in the drawing board; these flawed products shouldn't even be allowed to be sold on the market first thing MS spotted the issues but they chose to keep silence and pretend that all these known issues doesn't exist, heck even samsung were able to stood up and owned up for their mistake on S7 and credited their consumers with a discount and also a store credit to purchase the fixed product which is the S8 (just an example), even apple honored their products that were out of warranty with a reasonable price; in doing so I do strongly suggest you not to burn your hard earned penny for something that will fail in a long run like a year or two if you are lucky, you are presented with 2 options now, a first one would be to visit your local third party repair shop, a lot of them are now able to address the issues that you are having with your surface with reasonable price a second would be to shop with the competitor the likes of Lenovo/HP/DELL/Apple/MSI are more reliable and back your purchase in the long run and most of all stress free you don't need to chase an incompetent labeled self proclaim "a geuine surface technician"............
