Microsoft Surface Book Class Action Lawsuit

My Surface Book has also suffered the dreaded swollen battery that has caused the bottom of the keyboard to delaminate.  The swollen battery is making my $3,000 Surface Book a dangerous hazard due to the possibility of fire and explosion. After many hours of extreme frustration talking to Microsoft Support, I am so upset.  Is there a class action lawsuit for this issue?

    Asus are excellent machines. I just bought a new desktop. Unlike Microsoft, they are always helpful when there is a problem. They have confidence in their products because of the quality built-in. I plan to try to replace the battery in my Surface Pro 4. I purchased the battery, heating tool, and other support tools for removing and replacing the battery. I purchased a Surface Pro 7 to work on in the meantime. Hopefully, the same thing won't happen to the Pro 7.

    It is really sad that Microsoft cares so little about their customers and the quality of their products.  

 Still hoping for a class action.

    My SB2 starting getting a swollen battery a few weeks ago. They said it's not a danger, but I should stop using it immediately. Because we're too stupid to understand what that really means. After a week of trying to get MS to resolve the case, they offered me a refurb with 90-day warranty for $600USD + tax. That's over $900 Canadian for a 4-year old laptop. I asked them to do better and they came back a day later saying they couldn't because their offer was already so generous.

    I just order an HP Spectre x360 to replace the SB. I will never buy another MS Surface product. Over $3000 spent for a computer that now has to be thrown out. I'm a data science Professor, and I will make sure that all of my colleagues and students know what happened and never recommend a Surface product for them.

    And I would be happy to be part of a Class Action Lawsuit.

    I was given the $500 refurbished option.

    Having previously had 2 incidents of swollen batteries, I decided not to throw good money after bad.

    Just bought an ASUS....very happy with it.

    Won't be going with MS anymore.

    Will spread the word.

    I paid less than that to get a battery and a new screen and replace them myself. Go on amazon. Buy what ever needs replacing and you're back up and running without needing to send in the machine to get it reimage.
