I hope someone files a class action against these clowns. Paid over $2000 for a SP4 and mine is bulging in the bottom left corner. I've owned so many products in my life and I swear microsoft makes some of the worst. XBOX red ring of death and now this.

Hi Suzie, hope you are doing great, i know that this is outdated, and that you are probably have moved on, i certainly did however if there are law suits still up in place please count me in these MS injustice needs to be corrected...........

first of all, i'm lost for words but sorry that this incident has occurred to you, what a surprise now that they were playing a blame game, well one thing for sure, they were pointing fingers back to the consumer whom were honest users........they always had this arduous reasons to steer clear away from the issues that they created back in the drawing board; these flawed products shouldn't even be allowed to be sold on the market first thing MS spotted the issues but they chose to keep silence and pretend that all these known issues doesn't exist, heck even samsung were able to stood up and owned up for their mistake on S7 and credited their consumers with a discount and also a store credit to purchase the fixed product which is the S8 (just an example), even apple honored their products that were out of warranty with a reasonable price; in doing so I do strongly suggest you not to burn your hard earned penny for something that will fail in a long run like a year or two if you are lucky, you are presented with 2 options now, a first one would be to visit your local third party repair shop, a lot of them are now able to address the issues that you are having with your surface with reasonable price a second would be to shop with the competitor the likes of Lenovo/HP/DELL/Apple/MSI are more reliable and back your purchase in the long run and most of all stress free you don't need to chase an incompetent labeled self proclaim "a geuine surface technician"............
