My Surface Book has also suffered the dreaded swollen battery that has caused the bottom of the keyboard to delaminate. The swollen battery is making my $3,000 Surface Book a dangerous hazard due to the possibility of fire and explosion. After many hours of extreme frustration talking to Microsoft Support, I am so upset. Is there a class action lawsuit for this issue?

I have the same problem with my Surface Pro 4. In the 4th yr after the warranty ended. Microsoft is unwilling to own up to the problem and replace these batteries. They only see it as an opportunity to profit further at the expense of their customers.
I am willing to join any class action suit. I have already inquired through "classaction.com". I am waiting to see if there is any already in progress.
Really unacceptable for Microsoft to try and dodge responsibility for this safety hazard! They need to make this right. Hoping there is some law firm willing to step in and force a resolution from MS. Paying $600 is ridiculous for this clear design defect that can kill people when it burns down your house or your car.
It's absolutely unacceptable the level of support that you can expect from Microsoft. You couldn't have said it better that you have to chase them for support. I sell laptops on a weekly basis and I will steer clear of any Microsoft Product until they can support it.
Yes I gladly will as I'm an IT Service Provider and have had two Surface Book's brick as they were updating as well as the Surface Duo phone which is nearly unusable. It's ridiculous that this is what you have to come to expect from Microsoft.
I am willing. I have a Surface Pro4, With the Battery swollen bulging the screen. That type my almost 600.00 to replace with a refurbish with a 90 day warrant. No assurance that it will not do the something. I also own a surface book, what am I to expect? Yes please include me in the lawsuit.
