Hi, I am also interested. Even the Microsoft program SQL Server 2019 Developer is not running on my surface pro x. I really cannot understand how Microsoft can launch a pro product, which is not usable for a lot of apps for a professional context. I think a Facebook group could be helpful to attract people who have the some problem.
Wanting to running SQL Server on a tablet seems a bit odd, but to each his own I guess. But did you not do any research on whether the software was compatible with ARM CPUs before buying the Pro X? Hopefully you didn't get a salesperson promising x64 emulation was coming really soon or by such and such date etc., since a date has never been announced other than when it would arrive in insider builds (November 2020, which it did). But you may be able to run it if x64 emulation arrives this fall (expected). No idea how well it'd run. There is no ARM version of Windows Server available that I've seen yet, so I don't expect a native ARM64 flavor of SQL Server until that happens (they're working on it internally I've read).
Honestly this device is designed to be a highly mobile device (built-in LTE and all), not a server. But I guess we all may have a different idea of what makes a Pro device. Unfortunately you probably would have been better off with the Pro 7 if running SQL Server locally on the device itself is a must-have.
