I have never seen a display issue on my S2, but my error log was full of the display driver crashing, two system refreshes later I now do not get this error anymore.

I just purchased two new Surface 2's and I am noticing a significant reduction in volume from the speakers compared to my old Surface RT. The speakers also lack any kind of bass. They are very "tinny" and shallow sounding. When using headphones, there is plenty of bass sound and the volume level is not an issue.
I am also experienceing a significant amount of sound crackling (from the speakers and attached headphones) when streaming video from Amazon Instant Video using both the desktop and metro versions of IE. I do not experience this crackling problem with other sound sources like Xbox music, gaming, or other website streaming video (i.e. YouTube).
Since I was experiencing this on two different Surface 2's, it seems unlikely that this is a hardware issue. This is most likely a software/driver issue. Is there anything that I can do to resolve this problem, other than wait for a possible software or firmware update?
Thanks.

No everybody get those but the display driver is constantly crashing and I bet in all Surface 2. The thing is that they haven't noticed because they haven't got the pixilated screen. If you go to event viewer, windows, system, you will see errors, look at them and you will see that when the S2 is on standby the display driver crashes every time there is a notification of any kind.

Edit: display errors are back again :(
Have any of you guys experienced the pixelated screen yet?? I know everyone is having these sound issues but a ton of people are also getting pixel screens and I was just wondering if any of you got that as well... I love the surface 2 but man does thing have a ton of problems... not to mention the loose volume rocker that rattles as well
I was an early responder to this NOW well broadcasted problem! It still seems as though there is no stand-up seemingly from Microsoft about this problem. Many here art IT people, I'm not I'm a business man. I read how industrious many are in trying to fix there S2s. I don't have that knowledge or the time to learn or do I care to! In my business if I have a glitch or make a mistake, I'm quick to take the problem into MY hands and rectify it. My business name is important!!! But I'm a small business. Apparently super corporations don't take that same responsibility? But if I had such a cutting edge product that can change the marketplace, I would be fixing that problem no matter what the cost! After 30 yrs in business I saw those in business that made mistakes early on and hid their head and ran from living up to their commitment now today they are not in business today! Because of being upright my business today thrives! I have coupled a Bluetooth speaker system and at first it worked but then it would lose the signal. I don't know what causes that to occur? Even when I use the USB cord? So as of today I see NO HELP! From Microsoft. So I can't see any other viable option but to take my S2 back to Best Buy and exchange it for an IPad 2??? I'm sorry but apparently not as sorry as Microsoft should be or as time passes "will be" For we have choice!!!
