I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it. I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.
With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes. Mouse motion ceases then resumes.
I have a video of the mouse re I continuously move the mouse in a circle

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.
I know others have seen this problem. It should be easy to reproduce. Can someone from Microsoft try this please.
This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

I've now gone 2 full 8 hour workdays in a row without a single keyboard/mouse glitch. I'm finally happy with my surface book 3. Not happy I had to jump through hoops to get it to work like it should but happy that it's now the machine I was expecting when i bought it. Hopefully Microsoft doesn't end up screwing up this fix trying to make their own fix.
I am really jealous,
hints found in this thread communication not working for me :(
Did you do something different than this way? Did I miss something?
That's all i did, I set the USB selective suspend to disabled on each of the available power profiles balanced, high performance, and the Razer cortex profile. I have mine setup to use high performance mode but disabled USB selective suspend on all of them just to be safe. I did restart my surface book after making those changes. I haven't had a single glitch since doing that.

- USB selective suspend- 'Disabled' for AC as well as for battery
- registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PlatformAoAcOverride = 0
Dont feel bad.
This fix was being offered by people before. I dont thimk it worked for anyone.
Microsoft would of fixed it
long time ago, if it was that simple.
