I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it. I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.
With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes. Mouse motion ceases then resumes.

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.
I know others have seen this problem. It should be easy to reproduce. Can someone from Microsoft try this please.
This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

It seems that more and more people are buying a SB3 and then checking here. They should check here first and then decide.
Microsoft haven't noticed or commented on the fact I have unmarked their post as an answer.

2021-01-04T17:21:05+00:00 I agree but in 2020/2021 who really thinks that they need to research if a laptop has functional USB ports? It never crossed my mind to look into that. I looked around the support page for known issues before buying unfortunately this has not and probably never will be a "known" issue.
Microsoft is too busy trying to get the new Xbox in stock so they can make money to worry about existing customers whose money they already have.
