I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it. I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.
With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes. Mouse motion ceases then resumes.

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.
I know others have seen this problem. It should be easy to reproduce. Can someone from Microsoft try this please.
This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

Patched and updated all know drivers
External Samsung 32" u32j59x connected via dock.
Network connection through Dock
HP M452 Printer attached though Dock (problem occurs even if printer NOT attached)
MS Bluetooth mouse using SB3 internal Bluetooth
No external keyboard
Problem which occurs randomly throughout day.
- Mouse and keyboard will freeze. Mouse cursor will still move around desktop but neither mouse nor the keyboard accept input.
- I resolve by disconnecting dock from machine, wait a few seconds till everything drops back to laptop screen then reconnect.
- Doesn't appear tied to any particular application.
- Typical open apps in order; Outlook, Chrome, AutoCAD, Photoshop.
- Secondary open apps; Media Player, Word, Google Earth.
- I don't have a stutter that others have identified (yet lol).
- Bluetooth seems to still be functioning since the mouse trail moves on screen.

The issue also presents itself on the SB1! Although much rarely.

2020-10-20T10:46:36+00:00 Given the suggestion that it is an issue within the Dock and USB related, I am trying a powered hub connected to Dock and all USB devices hanging off that powered hub. So far so good.
Of course the whole point of the dock is to provide multiple USB ports.....
