Surface Book 3 - external keyboard and mouse

I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it.  I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.

With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes.  Mouse motion ceases then resumes.

I have a video of the mouse re I continuously move the mouse in a circle

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.

I know others have seen this problem.  It should be easy to reproduce.  Can someone from Microsoft try this please.

This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

A fix for this issue is now available through Windows Update. Please review the Surface Book 3 Update History page.

Microsoft have acknowledged the problem, are working on it but have not given any further information.

I have offered to test updates but the people I talk to are a third party company that provide support for Microsoft so are not close enough to be able to even suggest this.

There is a workaround which is to use Bluetooth keyboard and mouse

the only solution i have found for now : is to unplug my Ethernet cable from the dock and let only my mouse and my keyboard connected and since 24h hours the mouse and the keyboard have not freeze. It's still very annoying solution and i hope a real fixe will come out. It look like when there is to much data coming from the USB port the surface book 3 can't handle it and i doubt a sofware update could fix that issue !

Any update on this?  Have a new laptop with the same issue when using the Surface Dock 2.  I even reloaded the OS without any resolution.
