Surface Book 3 - external keyboard and mouse

I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it.  I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.

With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes.  Mouse motion ceases then resumes.

I have a video of the mouse re I continuously move the mouse in a circle

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.

I know others have seen this problem.  It should be easy to reproduce.  Can someone from Microsoft try this please.

This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

A fix for this issue is now available through Windows Update. Please review the Surface Book 3 Update History page.

I hadn't tried this so i gave it a shot today. It didn't work for me.

    Didn't work for me neither.

I have the same issue. Also my keyboard has leds and they blink like a christmas tree several times in a minute... (It stops working every blink)

It is a Ducky One2 RGB.

    This is insane.

It's not just Razer though, i used a hyperx for a while with the same results. I've tried an old msi keyboard from my son's computer same results. I tried my other son's corsair keyboard same thing. The handheld scientific Bluetooth keyboard adapter has been the best "workaround" so far but still runs into the issue from time to time, yesterday was really bad.

I've had it happen with my hyperx keyboard before my kids spilled water all over it. Now I have a razer blackwidow. Funny thing is my Logitech MX master 3 mouse runs on Bluetooth without issue. I will say Bluetooth is more reliable than just using USB but it's not a perfect "workaround" and for the price of the surface book 3 there shouldn't EVER have to be a workaround. I just wish I could find a workaround for having kept this thing past my return period.

    So its Razer!

If you are running Synapse 2.0 or 3.0, the problem gets amplified 10x.

So far i wasnt able to use any Razer products with my Surface Book.
