I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it. I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.
With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes. Mouse motion ceases then resumes.
I have a video of the mouse re I continuously move the mouse in a circle

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.
I know others have seen this problem. It should be easy to reproduce. Can someone from Microsoft try this please.
This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

I also have the same issue with my "Surface Laptop 3 for Business - 15 inches, Black (Metal), Intel Core i7, 16GB, 256GB". The issue causes a spontaneous freeze on both mouse and keyboard.
I am constantly switching my keyboard and mouse from a HUB so I know the issue is not with my mouse and keyboard.
I also connect everything to the surface through a Docking Gen 2.
The issue can be temporary resolved after a restart then repeats after 30mins-1hour of usage.
Hopefully, Microsoft can fix this soon, It interrupts my work a lot; especially during meetings.
You are absolutly right.
I can replicate this issue without even when not connected to a microsoft docking station.
Something must be up with USB drivers. I wont be surprised, if Microsoft managed to screw up designing hardware, and this issue is permanent.
I don't think this is entirely related to the dock itself. Many users are reporting this issue when simply connected directly via Bluetooth or via a dongle like Logitech uses. For example, my Logitech dongles for my mouse and keyboard work fine when paired to my old laptop but the entire system lags and freezes whenever plugged in directly to my surface book 3. No dock involved. It seems to be an issue with the surface book itself.
I have Surface Book 3 and using a Dock1 with firmware update.
I received my BT-500 today but haven't set up yet.
