Surface Book 3 - external keyboard and mouse

I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it.  I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.

With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes.  Mouse motion ceases then resumes.

I have a video of the mouse re I continuously move the mouse in a circle

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.

I know others have seen this problem.  It should be easy to reproduce.  Can someone from Microsoft try this please.

This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

A fix for this issue is now available through Windows Update. Please review the Surface Book 3 Update History page.

I posted a link to this forum on Twitter and tagged Microsoft surface, I'm sure they won't look at it though.

I agree.  This shouldn't be happening.  I submitted a support ticket with MS,  they came back wanting other device information last week, and now haven't heard anything further from them on it.....

I've been going through the same issue with my surface book 3. At first i thought it was the surface dock being underpowered so i got a surface dock 2 but that didn't fix it. Then i thought it might be related to Razer's software so i tried an MSI keyboard i had laying around and that didn't work so i tried a Hyper X keyboard and that also didn't work. My last ditch effort was to buy a plugable brand USB type C display link dock thinking maybe it was a surface dock issue but i still have the same problem with that too. I've been running folding@home in the background today and 6 hours into my day i haven't had any keyboard issues but my CPU is running at around 3 GHz consistently and around 90 degrees celsius so i don't feel like this is a viable long term workaround. This is extremely frustrating for a "flagship" device.
