I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it. I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.
With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes. Mouse motion ceases then resumes.

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.
I know others have seen this problem. It should be easy to reproduce. Can someone from Microsoft try this please.
This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

I have seen it happen a few minutes ago.
The major driver for me is the Dock as I simply connect and have a working environment in the office. If I am away from the office I just unplug the Dock. It worked perfectly with Surface Laptop but not the £2.5k SB3. No point moving to Dock 2 either.
Pretty pathetic performance from Microsoft.

I have had the issue with nothing plugged into the dock except the power, ethernet, and an external monitor. Microsoft Mouse is connected to laptop's Bluetooth.

2020-10-20T10:46:36+00:00 Given the suggestion that it is an issue within the Dock and USB related, I am trying a powered hub connected to Dock and all USB devices hanging off that powered hub. So far so good.
Of course the whole point of the dock is to provide multiple USB ports.....
