Surface Book 3 - external keyboard and mouse

I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it.  I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.

With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes.  Mouse motion ceases then resumes.

I have a video of the mouse re I continuously move the mouse in a circle

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.

I know others have seen this problem.  It should be easy to reproduce.  Can someone from Microsoft try this please.

This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

A fix for this issue is now available through Windows Update. Please review the Surface Book 3 Update History page.

Same problem on new Surface Laptop 3 (i7/16G) for External USB wired keyboard and mouse connected through surface dock2.

    Mouse stutter, keyboard "repeating" letters.

Same set is working fine with Surface go v1.

Well, after readinggggggggggggggggg (<- haha i will leave this here) the whole thread i connected my mouse via bluetooth. Since I did this (6 hours ago) no mouse stuttering. Keyboard... yeah - u see it up there. Keyboard is connected via Logitech Unify Dongle with a long cable far away from the USB 3 ports. But, stutter doesn't care about this. Sadly it's no bluetooth keyboard. I will switch my keyboard on monday.. maybe this is a workaround... but no solution for a 3k machine.

I did a lot of other things with the SB3 (i think everything was already mentioned) but nothing helped. The only things that happened is that i now having full control over my power plans, my two graphic units and other stuff...

I'm amazed how Microsoft is just sitting this one out, waiting for everyone to get tired of reporting this issue and then call it a day. They certainly aren't the first company who's doing this but that doesn't make it right. It just shows how they treat their average customer. So unless you pay millions or got some connections you're worth **** to them. I'm speechless.

Guess it's time to start looking into other options for the future.

    Sad times we're living in.

Then again, there's always the possibility to blame COVID-19 for the lack of response right? They ain't even doing that. End of story.

Microsoft should be embarrassed by this.
