Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10 WiFi and Bluetooth suddenly stopped working.

My wireless devices suddenly stopped. Everything working fine last Thursday nigh but Friday and over weekend - I've tried everything to get the device working and all has failed.

uninstalled device leaving driver

removed driver and reinstalled

used earlier version of driver and updated

uninstalled device and removed driver and reinstalled

etc etc

used services  to reengage Bluetooth support services

nothing seems to be working.

My Surface works in my docking station with a wired connection and a wired mouse, but wireless connection has failed and Bluetooth isn't reading

any suggestions?

The only actions which resolved the issue for our devices so far multiple times were:

  1. Login to Windows
  2. Hold th power button by itself for approx 15-20 seconds until screen goes black
  3. Press the power button once to switch back ON and wait for Windows to boot again and in our case that's sorted it

There is always a low risk of causing issues with OS/data with crashing out of OS however when one has little option it would try anything.

Good luck 😊

my SP3 Wireless Adapter and BlueTooth Adapter flat out QUIT in the middle of an audio program.

they is effect "disappeared" from the Network Connectivity Folder as well - POOF -- GONE!

I have a feeling MS knows about this problem

    See

    http://pureinfotech.com/fix-surface-pro-3-wireless-adapter/

    and

    http://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft-acknowledges-surface-pro-3-disappearing-wi-fi-and-slow-connection-complaints

That being said these articles are from 2014.

as it is now nearly 2017, I think I have resolved my issue by doing the following:

    Go to Start>Settings>Network & Internet

    Beneath the display that reads:

    "Network status"

near the bottom is "Network reset"  (this maybe an "Updated" Fix that was not avaialber in 2014??)

Click this link and your Network and BlueTooth adapters will reset (so will any VPN Credentials you may have set up)

The reset "advisor" will tell you the process will take 5 minutes.

IMPORTANT STEP - after the reset process is complete and your Surface reboots ... you MUST REBOOT AGAIN.

so far this has solved my "disappearing" adapters

Miscrosoft is full of BS. There are numerous incidents with the Marvell device and drivers being extremely unreliable. I think I went through every single post and fix attempt and everybody keeps repeating the same useless procedures. The Marvell device keeps breaking and "magically" recovering at apparently random conditions. Sometimes it's the wakeup from sleep problem sometimes it's something else. But the bottom line is that Microsoft has known about it for months and months and has doner absolutely nothing about it.

I basiclly wasted a total of days and days trying to fix this with every known method, and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Then it just stops working randomly and it simply a matter of waiting before it starts again.

I will never buys a Surface device again. It's would have been a wonderful device if it was not for the fact that Microsoft is simply not taking it and its customers seriously enough to keep it working. Really sad. I feel sorry for the development team. All their efforts go to waste because the company refuses to acknowledge that there's a problem and does not take care of its users. Really, really disappointing.

Can you take your Surface out of the dock and try a two button reset:

Step 1: Swipe in from the right and tap or click Settings, tap or click Power, and then tap or click Shut down to shut down Surface. If you can’t shut down Surface normally, press and hold the power button on your Surface for 30 seconds.

Step 2: After Surface turns off, press and hold volume-up button and the power button on your Surface at the same time for at least 15 seconds, and then release both.

The screen may flash the Surface logo, but continue holding the buttons down for at least 15 seconds.

Step 3: After you release the buttons, wait 10 seconds.

Step 4: Press and release the power button again to turn your Surface back on.
