Surface Go uefi version is 1.0.34 and No Bootable Device error

Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.

I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.

Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so

Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?

I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.

I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback

Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.

Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

An action group has been setup to call on Microsoft to compensate people for this problem. Please join and share with others if you think it’s only fair that we receive some form of redress for the time/stress this has caused as well as the loss of data and the inability to use our devices.

It has been setup away from this forum, as Microsoft could close this conversation at any time.

After years of flawless performance I did the latest upgrade. I will never do this again I got the infamous no bootable device. I do not see any icon in my upper right hand corner I have read through all the threads. There are currently over 900 I have the same question.

What will it take for Microsoft to take responsibility for this? I am a retired Microsoft senior technology specialist.

I would be hard pressed telling a client to pay money for this.

And a Microsoft employee telling us to call support? OMG

I don't think that those who had already got their refurbished unit would actually still care much about this issue. So not enough of us to do anything. I just hope that people should think more seriously for their next purchase. This whole update thing just getting too complex for Microsoft maybe, but again of all things their own device!!!!

    Hoping for the best
