This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

2 days ago, i contacted the microsoft CS, they are replacing my surface.
as you said, they cant send to indonesia, but they will send to my friend that live at malaysia.
So if you have friend at malaysia / singapore, you can get the replacement device
Hi, thanks for the info. Does Microsoft require you to send your current device to them? Did you have to incur any cost, either for sending current set to them or for receiving the replacement set from Microsoft in Malaysia?

nope, they never asked anything to return or asked any money.
they asked my address and will send the new device straight away.
now I am waiting for their last email for the confirmation.
you should ask their customer service, they are surprisingly very good. I was a bit shocked, hahaha
I also had a problem with Firmware 1.0.34, leave my Surface replaced with a new one. While updating a new device, I saw that they wanted to install Firmawre 1.0.34 again and I have stopped these updates for now. Is it safe on the new device ?? Is it already a corrected version ?? A question for those who have obtained a new device: What firmware version do you have after all the updates? I am afraid of repeating the mistake and immobilizing the new device.
