This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

My warranty was also expired. If you're not in US, just start a chat in customer support. Don't select a technical support, but a hardware issue. Tried this here in Switzerland. It was obviously a chat with someone not here but auto translation was fine. They immediately acknowledged the problem, asked for serial and shipping address. Some minutes later, I had a shipping label in my mailbox. About a week later, I received a Surface in exchange. A great surprise, it was a Go 3.
Thanks for all the advice it was very helpful, unlike Microsoft. It has been very difficult to figure out how to get any. However once you figure it out they seem very understanding and they have agreed to send me a replacement once I send them mine they will even email you a postage label. Thanks all
Thank you for sharing these details with us and all the effort you went to get this resolved. I followed your advice and it worked perfectly! The woman on Live Chat had me send pictures of the screen with "No Bootable Device" and the screen with the UEFI details. She was able to quickly get approval and send me the details for how to proceed. I mailed them my old one today and I'm expecting my replacement within a week or so. She was very helpful.
This Worked! thank you for posting!
