Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

Gracias por contestar pero los fallos no entienden de países, sino de firmware defectuoso independientemente del país, región etc...
Un saludo
I was able to boot a Surface Go (same issue) with a Win 11 Pro USB. I logged into Azure and got its bitlocker key which gave me DOS level access to the C: drive and AT LEAST I was able to xcopy the entire contents to a USB drive.
It doesn't fix the problem but I got months of off-line work back.
Thanks for this good guide.
Mohammed has helped me as well.
Since I contacted from Germany, the site was German and the communication was automatically in German. But this was not a problem. The messages were translated for Mohammed and his messages reached me in German.
I was in the queue for a while until Mohammed took up the chat request.
But then it was uncomplicated.
I described the problem.
Thereupon I was asked for serial number and shipping address and received a UPS shipping ticket the same day.
I sent the device and after a week I received a replacement device.
The keyboard was missing, I received it 2 days later in a separate shipment.
Good MS service, I am very satisfied.
I have returned my Go product 1 time already. Now the same issue has occurred, not booting up.
