This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

Ok folks, let's summerise the different types of comment here :
We can see that most of people are complaining about their device not working for the same problem, which definitely seem caused by a screwed update from MS.
Otherwise, :
a) People who are not able to reach MS technical support and ask for a link to reach them out
b) People who are left alone without any support because of their geographical situation(better be in Europe and/or US, but not Ukraine)
c) People who received a free new device and brag about it (lucky devils)
d) People who tried to recover the device with a bootable USB drive
There is a very small proportion of people saying they managed to recover their data with a recovery disk.
Does anyone who see this message can relate they managed, despite the no bootable device, to retrieve their data somehow ? And without to make their device work again? (otherwise this trend would not have sense)
Thank you for your relevant answer!
I'm planning a lawsuit. I am in Ukraine, where the service is declared, no help!
The device was turned off! All the documentation on the public organization and projects under development, the source code of the collection in support of the creative industry, remained on it.
The only thing left is what we posted on the platform: https://opensea.io/collection/ukraineculturalforces
We opted out of the charity marathon because the Surface Go allowed us to stream.
Script development for films and source code for a series of posters in support of the trilogy. https://www.behance.net/gallery/141590621/STOP-WAR-Poster-Series
And a lot of things, because I trusted the device! The loss of intellectual property is enormous!
Microsoft's reaction is insulting!
There is a problem all over the world, but they do not recall the product, moreover, it is impossible to get in touch. This is like cheating a customer and extorting money for a newer product.
(Bad marketing strategy)
If one of the legal agencies takes up such a lawsuit against a corporation, Ukraine is with you.
Corporate terrorism must be stopped!
HOLDING MICROSOFT TO ACCOUNT - I'VE STARTED THE BALL ROLLING!!
I have been in this discussion now for several weeks and have raised two tickets with MS, both times when I requested escalation they have just ignored me! So I am angry and reading how many others that we know of here are affected, some with substantial loss of data, loss of all they operations due this issue, I'm even angrier.
Some of you have mentioned taking a Class Action out against MS and I have now looked into this. I am based in the UK and have found a great platform where we can take collective action together.
To start with we must find ALL the people affected by this issue, including all those who I fear have simply bought new devices, my guess is around the world there will be thousands. This will begin as a campaign which once we get 50 of us in the group we will then take out to the media. From here we will leverage to hold Microsfoft accountable.
