Surface Go uefi version is 1.0.34 and No Bootable Device error

Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.

I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.

Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so

Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?

I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.

I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback

Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.

Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

There is hope here, I too called Microsoft Support. Make sure you get directed to Surface Support and not Windows. I now have a case number and will be getting sent a replacement Surface Go now.

SAME ISSUE. On June 27th I received the same black screen with No Bootable Device when I powered up. I checked the boot configuration, created the Microsoft Data Eraser on a FAT32 formatted 16GB and 32GB USB, created the Surface Go 2 recovery image on a 16GB and 32GB USB. NOTHING. My warranty expired 3 months ago I have spoken to Microsoft and their brilliant solution was 1.) to buy a **** replacement for 249! or 2.) Thy had the audacity to suggest I buy a brand new device!!!! After a year. Mind you this is my 5th Surface device starting from 2017, so I am averaging 1 new device per year! Can I get at least 2 years out of this ****! I left Microsoft in 2019 and bough an ipad but I need desktop/tablet capability so I foolishly went back to this obviously inferior product.

MY case # from microsoft support is Case# 1040798146, they escalated my case and those are the recommendations I received.

created the Surface Go 2 recovery image

This firmware problem is only on the Surface Go series 1, so far.

Surface go 2 is a slightly different device and it's on firmware 1.0.2.0

Are you sure it's a Surface Go 2 64GB eMMC version, do you get the "no bootable device" screen?
