Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

Has anyone had any success yet in getting their machine fixed. Mine is out of warranty so I don't think a support ticket is an option, but I did send a 'complaint' via the web page here in Aus, as follows:
"Surface Go UEFI 1.0.34
My Surface Go is bricked immediately following installation of the update to UEFI 1.0.34
This is an issue that is now very well documented, with several hundred users reporting the same issue and no apparent resolution forthcoming from Microsoft.
I have followed all of the usual suggestions for 'restoring' my device and nothing works (as reported by all other users experiencing the same problem).
My machine is out of warranty, so sending it in is not an option unless Microsoft is prepared to undertake repairs outside of the warranty period without charge.
While the machine is out of warranty, the issuance of a firmware update that bricks the machine is clearly 'not of merchantable quality' and 'not fit for purpose'.
I look forward to your proposed resolution of this issue (which is clearly/demonstrably a firmware issue and not a hardware issue).
Kind regards
Andrew"
I look forward to any response - and any updates from anyone...
Raise a support ticket - mention this thread and that it's now a known issue and be persistent. They seem to be listening now and a few of us have been able to send our devices back...waiting to hear how everyone goes with it.
I am having the same issue
Very frustrating
