This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

Hallo all,
Today i was receiving the Surface from Microsoft. I am happy because the bricked one was Surface Go 1 and they sended me Surface Go 2 witch looks like new and works perfectly fine. Anybody that has a bricked one should send it to Microsoft and it will be able to receive a new one in max 1 Week from the date it was send to Microsoft.
I used this link https://support.microsoft.com/contactus chat client I told them I had tried to boot from a USB drive which didn't work.
Gave them my serial#, screen shoot of the message ' no bootable device" and UEFI 1.0.34 screen shot No other question gave my name and address they are shipping me a replacement at no cost.

Hi,
I will write an update as soon as i will receive my Surface back from Microsoft. At the moment it is still in Service.
Clearly Microsoft impacted all of our laptops and are stating that since they are out of warranty they can not do anything. What can we do? We need a class action lawyer as it appears they sent out a bug and are not taking accountability for the damage they have caused. Has anyone gotten any results?
