Surface Go uefi version is 1.0.34 and No Bootable Device error

Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.

I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.

Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so

Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?

I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.

I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback

Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.

Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

    Hey, Baget.

How long did you wait. I think I am having the same issue.

Just follow the instructions. Now I just get a white windows logo, nothing else. It can't be the battery, can it. It should be running on power from power supply.

Maybe is this step that had cause my problem??

After you see the message "Please wait while we install a system update" on the screen, release the volume-down button. Leave your Surface on and don't touch it until after the process is complete.

I did see something below the white logo, so I let go of the button. Now, I just get the white logo!!!

Fxxk, this is just taking way too much time and money. Note to self, no more Microsoft. Bad for health, bad for health!!!

Hey, Microsoft. Do I need to turn off the power grid and then switch that back on again to make it work???????

    Thanks

Thanks Kevin, good to know, I got nothing like that. I am just waiting for my daughters to break now having spent £70 on a back up to download her files.

    Hi David,

i got an email from support (AFTER they got my bricked unit back) saying that the new serial number was replacing my old serial number (they gave me both in that note) and that any remaining warranty would transfer from my original unit to the replacement. I think you get 90 days on the replacement as a matter of course.
