This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

I have the same issue, same bug and cannot get the recovery boot to work. This is most definitely a firmware issue.
for replacement of $249 I can buy another refurnished cheaper because my warranty was out, theres no way for me to get a support ticket. Microsoft needs to make this right. I can't get past this issue for my surface go. I've seen it on many IT sites with the same issues, and downloads for the usb boot time is ridiculous and in a bad connection it kicks me off, and I have to restart a 48 hr download. the support site is not helpful at all.
Eduardo, the repair usb which they want you try, does not work. We've all (mostly) tried this many times, and MS know it does not work. Wait a day or two, then contact them again and say it didn't work - just kept coming back to the same problem. It should not be this way, but go along with the process and you should be offered a replacement. Good luck. Ray
I appreciate you posting this in an effort to help us fellow surface go owners out. My agent just told me to troubleshoot it by using a USB flash drive and basically re-install or upgrade my windows (I currently have 10). Now I have to go use another device and “hopefully” resolve this issue on my own and take up even more of my time to fix something I didn’t cause. Very frustrating to say the least.
Just finished talking to Salah on chat.
Like in the other cases he checked the serial number, asked for my contact information, and said they will ship a new Surface Go as there is nothing to do with the "no bootable device" issue.
Fingers crossed here too,
