Surface Go uefi version is 1.0.34 and No Bootable Device error

Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.

I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.

Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so

Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?

I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.

I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback

Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.

Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

I'm happy to report that I've just spoken to support via online chat, explained the situation with a Surface Go bricked, referenced this thread, and they just sent me a return label, and will send out a replacement device. Can't say fairer than that. Thank you Microsoft!

I have the same problem and microsoft don't want to fix the firmwareproblem because there is a tiny little crack on the edge of the screen.

What does a crack have to do with the firmware with a bug?

Thank you for sharing these details with us and all the effort you went to get this resolved. I followed your advice and it worked perfectly! The woman on Live Chat had me send pictures of the screen with "No Bootable Device" and the screen with the UEFI details. She was able to quickly get approval and send me the details for how to proceed. I mailed them my old one today and I'm expecting my replacement within a week or so. She was very helpful.
