Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

It took me a month, 2 tickets and a complaint but they have finally agreed to send me a replacement for my son's out of warranty Surface Go. Persist...and point them to this discussion. They are responsible.
Is there still nothing on this issue? It's obviously 1.0.34. Microsoft wouldn't really break everyone's surface go's and just tell them to buy a new one would they?
Could not avoid installing firmware 1.0.34 becuas if you don't install any update most functions of windows won't work (in had been one of the first windows 10 versions on the new surface and you get lots of problems because of missing security updates).
So microsoft update installed firmware 1.0.34 after installing 1.0.32 and now it works. The only thing i had to do after firmware 1.0.34 had been installed is use my recoverykey for bitlocker because of change of security setting. Don't know why.
Thank you for the reply, but I do not understand you were able to retrieve your old data...
