This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

Yes I have.
Please - tell me how to report this as a firmware bug...there are a lot of people experiencing the same issue this week
Just switched on my SurfaceGo - have never had any issues with it. It went straight to installing updates, with a screen that was not the usual blue Windows update screeen, but a black screen with the windows icon and a progress bar. This concerned me straight away and then as soon as the update finished I just have a black screen with "No Bootable Device". Can't switch it off, or restart it or reboot.
Come on MS- you can't keep fobbing us all off and expect to buy a new machine. Mine too out of warranty, but it has very light use, I have no apps installed on it, just those it came with on purchase. Why would all of us experience exactly the same problem, immediately after an update?????
Yep pretty much like everyone else. Funny how Microsoft isn't responding to this thread anymore. Don't have a clue what are our options but one thing for sure is I ain't going to buy another device from them after being treated this way. It makes no sense how a huge company like that can do what ever they want and not pay the price.
I've just had a response from MS Business Support again trying to close my case. They have recognised it as an issue which is not related to hardware, and are investigating a fix. All I can do for now, other than wait :-/
They won't give me the ref for the third line/app support ticket that has been raised, so I'm trying to keep mine open for as long as possible at the moment as at least it means they chase me every day and I can report it's still not fixed. Not sure if that's helpful, but then neither is releasing dodgy firmware.
