Iexperienced this problem this morning on my Surface Pro 2.  After being connected at a coffee shop, shutting down and rebooting at work I tried to connect to the wireless connection at work and am also getting the "no connection available".  I get the same network icon and red X.

When I troubleshoot I get "The Marvell AVASTAR Wireless Composite Device adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware-related problems"

Any help greatly appreciated.

My problem is similar to that of other customers. I have a Surface Pro 2 with Windows 8.1 Pro, that after a Windows Update (07-08-2014 hardware), began with a failure in the network card. After several attempts I managed to return to the old driver, but when you restart the machine again to failure every time. I went back to the old driver using the following steps:

    1)

    2)

    3)

    4)

As you can see I have no network with the new driver (05-23-2014 from Marvell), but again I have access with the old (03-05-2014 from Microsoft).

If I restart the Surface, returns to the new controller and ran me out of network and I must return to reinstall, which is a real nuisance.

I thank you in advance to be able to solve this problem, I have tried every solutionproposed in other post and none has given me results.

    Sincerely,

    Daniel Pérez.
