Iexperienced this problem this morning on my Surface Pro 2.  After being connected at a coffee shop, shutting down and rebooting at work I tried to connect to the wireless connection at work and am also getting the "no connection available".  I get the same network icon and red X.

When I troubleshoot I get "The Marvell AVASTAR Wireless Composite Device adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware-related problems"

Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hi

I have a Surface Pro (first series) and I have had this problem today.I have turned it off and on again. I have rebooted the network hardware (other users can still access the internet) Updates were installed yesterday.

I am not sure how to restart the WiFi on my surface. I also have the network symbol with the red x.

As I cannot connect to the internet I can't do further updates.

Is the only solution left to reinstall the wireless driver?

    Thanks
