Surface Pro 3 throttling

I will give your screensaver suggestion a try and see how that works.  Sleep is working fine so far though, since I rolled back to the April driver.

I haven't seen a June driver.  There is a driver in the Surface Pro 3 June driver download package ZIP file, but the Marvell driver in there is a May one - the same which is installed by Windows update, I believe.  If there's a June Marvell driver, I'll seek that out.

It's not my router, I'm pretty sure of that.  The problems happen on both my home WiFi and my corporate WiFi (over which I have no control anyway).

There's no sleep/power management options under the WiFi adapter in device manager.

That's good.  Just use it then and experiment with the power plan options and you may not need that June driver if you are getting good connection (not perfect, but good).  The final fix, whenever that happens, should correct all of that.

From there, just use it.  I will be getting the i3 model when it ships out because I only need a machine for testing and don't really need speed or massive storage.

The Pro 2 and Pro 3 both shipped with i5 4300U processors...

Let me expand on this.  The motherboard, memory modules, SSD cards, WiFi adapter, etc., are all exactly the same between the Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 tablets.  There are no differences.  Those three processors use the exact same resources and (if you could) the processors could be swapped out (i.e., i3 for i7, etc.).

I have two desktop versions of the "Haswell" series right now.  I have the i5 and i7 and when I ordered the motherboards and memory modules for them, I ordered "2" of the same models and both machines are working perfect.

The price tag of the processors are a bit different.  The i5 (4200U) I bought for $89.99.  The i7 was $349.99.  The i3 was out of stock but would have been $59.99.

In the "Haswell" series, they also make a Pentium and Celeron versions as well.  I have three motherboards to build those up right now for low budget computers for church groups.

I should have been more clear. Your earlier post said "The CPU in the Pro 3 models are different than the models used in the Pro 2". That statement is not correct. Otherwise I have not problem with your statements.
