Surface Pro 7 and Slim Pen Stop working

I just recently purchased the Surface Pro 7 and Slim pen. I am on the third one as I have returned them and gotten a new one due to the touch screen not working. It works fine for a little while then in the middle of editing pictures or using the slim pen the touch screen and pen both stop working. I have done all of the suggested tips (Uninstalling drivers, reinstalling them, etc) and after restarting the Surface Pro 7 they work for awhile and then I'm back to having to restart to get them to work again. I am assuming now it is something with the surface slim pen interfering with the touch screen since I have been through three Pro 7s and not all of them can be messed up. Is there a way to fix this permanently without having to constantly restart my device?

I am a professional photographer and this is seriously messing with my work flow. I can not keep restarting my device every 15 to 30 minutes to get the screen and pen working again. My next step is to return both items and switch completely away from the Surfaces. I don't want to as I have had my Surface Pro 3 for years and love it but it crashed and I had to upgrade. Can anyone tell me what to try to get this issue corrected?

    Hi

Even I had same issue with my surface (Purchased on 09-Apr-2021). I tried all possible sollutions available in community.

But still I have same issue. I have to stop working and restart my surface.

It would be better if you provide 100% working sollution, Instead of workaround/quick fix (like. update driver, restart suraface pc  etc...) I can not do for more number of times (Restart).

I feel it's a fault of your device/sw, so please resolve Asap.

If not, try here - they 'should' have the latest driver in there:

Sadly replacing the Surface Pen Slim will not fix the issue. Somehow the bluetooth connection from the Surface Pen Slim disables the Intel(R) Precise Touch Device driver. There was an update last week on 04/08 that fixed the issue, however todays update on 04/14 has made the problem return. At this point we will just have to hope someone from Microsoft is reading this and identifies what exactly fixed the issue during the last update.

So far so good on my end, no issues at all! Guess the driver really was the issue.

    Hello SerrenHollingsworth,

Thanks for reaching out Microsoft Community and posting your concern here. We're sorry to learn that you're having an issue with your device and pen.

In this case, if you think the pen is interfering the touchscreen functionality of your device, I'd suggest to adjust or calibrate the pressure settings of your pen. To check your cursor, handwriting, and top button settings, go to **Start  > Settings  > Devices  > Pen & Windows Ink.**To check your pen pressure settings, open the Surface appand select the Pen tab to adjust it. Adjust and calibrate your pen at your own preference and after, observe how the touchscreen behaves.

    Hope this helps.
