I can confirm that I am still experiencing this on my Surface Pro 7. No updates are available when checking for updates. Still seeing the same errors show in in Event Viewer.
Repeated Daily Crashes of Desktop Window Manager in Reliability Monitor When Using Pen
Is anyone also having problems? I am all updated to 2009, all drivers updated. SFC reports no issues. Occasionally, when there's a crash my screen goes black for a few seconds.

Do the errors involve Desktop Window Manager and use of pen as well?

2021-01-17T21:19:46+00:00 I'm optimistic the updates from this week might have fixed these issues. One of the updates was for Surface Service which was one of my problem events

2021-01-17T21:28:40+00:00 So funny that you'd post this today. It occurred to me a few minutes ago that on Tuesday this week I did the cumulative Windows update and also saw there were some firmware updates that were also downloaded and installed that may have addressed the black screen issue. I tested my Surface Pro 7 a few minutes ago with the pen and didn't experience the issue.
I'll have to try to use my pen a bit more throughout this week and see if the issue continues to not show up.
