Repeated Daily Crashes of Desktop Window Manager in Reliability Monitor When Using Pen

Is anyone also having problems? I am all updated to 2009, all drivers updated. SFC reports no issues. Occasionally, when there's a crash my screen goes black for a few seconds.

Hello, Yes, after I upgraded to Windows 10 20H2 yesterday. I had no problems at all before thhe upgrade. And the dsm.exe is missing from the Services? Would this be a bug microsoft have to fix?

Still having this issue. Surface pen causes heatcore.dll and dwm.exe to crash. Everything is up to date and has always been. Been crashing for literally 4 months straight.

I should have just bought an ipad to do school work on.... jesus.

Exact same issue, using the Pen causes a freeze & then a black screen. Applications like Teams have the windows blacked out after the freeze and have to be quit and restarted.

I got it again a moment ago. I have KB4589212 pending for update today. 2021-01 Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems and KB4601554 2021-02 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10, version 20H2 for x64. Along with an optional KB5001567 2021-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems. I'll do those updates in a bit and see if it has any effect.

Funny, I was doing something and got a blue screen shortly after posting that and my Surface did the first two updates during the restart. Used the pen and had the issue again.
