I can confirm that I am still experiencing this on my Surface Pro 7. No updates are available when checking for updates. Still seeing the same errors show in in Event Viewer.
Do the errors involve Desktop Window Manager and use of pen as well?
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Is anyone also having problems? I am all updated to 2009, all drivers updated. SFC reports no issues. Occasionally, when there's a crash my screen goes black for a few seconds.

Unfortunately, I have not found a solution. For whatever reason, I have seen it happen less, but it is still happening. I just tried using my pen right now for the first time today, and I was able to cause a brief one-two second black screen.
I have the exact same issue. I have even performed a reset. Has somone found out something about it yet?
I've been having the same issue with my surface with crashes related to heatcore.dll and DWM.exe
The issues with Zoom are well documented and across many devices so I won't focus on that here, especially since I experienced this issue even without Zoom being installed. I did get a replacement surface due to my issues and I am still experiencing the same crashes with the same cause. It does appear to be related to sleeping (guessing that heatcore is related to power management based on its name). Hopefully since this appears to be an emergent issue and not tied to a particular device its a software issue and can be fixed in the future.
I just wish that there was a way to get Microsoft to acknowledge these issues in a bug tracker or something similar instead of just yelling into the feedback void.
Yes I have seen other forum posts where MS engineers look over error dumps. Disappointed haven't seen that here.
