Surface Book 2 battery drain whilst off

I have same issue. Means I need to charge it overnight every night, regardless of usage.

Next laptop prob won't be a Microsoft one.

I am with you on this and this is very frustrating to me. I will be delighted if there is class action lawsuit ongoing.

Same problem. This behaviour is absolutley fascist and deprecable by MS. 

Those who have problems should join and move legally or at least create a group to do something; it's unbearable and disgusting. If someone knows how to move, I'm in.

I also have bought the SB2 15 in about a month ago and have noticed that the battery drains around 2-3% overnight after I shutdown my laptop completely.

I have disabled all the features like csenable to 0 in regedit, and disabled fast startup etc. I even tried the leaving the laptop open at night to no avail. I have contacted microsoft regarding this issue and they offered me a replacement device, which I accepted.

The bad news is that the replacement device suffers from the same problem. I have read so many threads at the moment with the same problem and without a solution, and also read about many people having the same problem with every replacement device they got. 

So from my experience, the problem wasn't solved through a replacement device. Now the real question is: "is there any SB2 that doesn't suffer from this issue?!?! I would like to know if it's a design problem or if a high percentage of these laptops suffer from this problem"

The problem with the laptop draining so much battery when off is that it cycles through the battery much faster even when not in use. I used to discharge my laptops to 50% and then store them away if I knew I wouldn't use them for a while. The battery drainage issue makes this impossible since the battery will discharge to 0% if left for a couple of weeks.

Is there ANY official reply from MS saying that this is a design issue?

This is a serious design flaw: the reports about the battery drain have become too many to just be ignored or dismissed. Microsoft will never admit their fault: if it were a design feature, it would have been patched long ago.
