On the end of the report has information about your battery healt. If your battery has less 90% of healt maybe the drain is because the battery can't retain the 100% of charge. Try shuting down your sb2 whit the 50% of charge and share your results.

I have had a Surface Book 2 for 9 months now. It drains 5-10% battery whilst switched off every day. I know this is a common complaint, yet why is it an issue on a $4000AUD laptop?
Can I return it for a refund as it does not meet my needs?

My SB is "new", most of the time it's on the charger for work reasons (being at home all the time), so it has only had 2 charge cycles so far.

Here is the fix. Go to device manager. Scroll down to system devices. "Right click" on Intel(R) Management Engine Interface and select disable.
Battery drain problem fixed.

2020-05-31T16:31:05+00:00 I do test my surface book 2 shuting down for 7 hours and mine has not battery drain after use of shift key to turning off.
Check if yours has a problem with the firmware and you have the lastest firmware update released on may 15.
Check your system files integrity executing the sfc /scannow on powershell.

2020-05-31T21:13:45+00:00 I have tried with your suggestion, but unfortunately to no avail. Yesterday around 23:55 I held the shift button while clicking on the "shutdown" command. I have just turned the Surface on, and launched the battery report. The battery loss is around 4% over almost 24 hours:
I will try with the other suggestions, namely the file integrity and the fix proposed by inboxerror2010. At this point, I have nothing (more) to lose.
