I got the same problem with my SB2.
After a few weeks dont touch it, today i open it and see the battery is down to 24%.

I have had a Surface Book 2 for 9 months now. It drains 5-10% battery whilst switched off every day. I know this is a common complaint, yet why is it an issue on a $4000AUD laptop?
Can I return it for a refund as it does not meet my needs?

Some of you might be mistaken, but all laptops drain regardless of usage after a few weeks. That is just the nature of lithium ion batteries...

That statement is untrue. I have a Macbook Pro and I can leave it off for weeks and still be at 100%. Microsoft know about the issue and fails to fix it. I also have a windows PC for work and had not used it since late March and it was still at 100%. So your logic is not correct, not all batters drain like that.

In a last ditch attempt to fix it, I carried out a full reinstall after a reset. Still drains whilst off. I lost 16% in 3 days without touching the laptop.
How the heck are Microsoft getting away with this? Why have the Microsoft agents stopped replying to this thread? Most of all, why does a "premium" laptop like this have such a design flaw that hasn't been fixed?
I'll be keen to see if the SB3 has the same "feature"
As long as people keep supporting the Surfaces Microsoft will not fix the issue. Its a design or engineering flaw. Good luck but I doubt the future Surface Laptops will have this issue resolved its been over 5 years and not a fix in sight.
