I have had a Surface Book 2 for 9 months now. It drains 5-10% battery whilst switched off every day. I know this is a common complaint, yet why is it an issue on a $4000AUD laptop?
Can I return it for a refund as it does not meet my needs?

Did you do a standard reset from within Windows (no downloading of an image)? Or did you download a generic windows 10 image and let Windows download drivers? Or did you download a Surface image from the website? I'm having 0 issues apart from this...

I did a standard reset within windows. Type reset in your search bar, you should see "Reset this pc". Get started-> remove everything. Once windows is back up and running just do windows updates and let windows download everything you need. Anything you download after that is your preference.

I also have the same issue. On top of the other problems I have with my unit, which includes an unrecognizable graphic card and overheating processor, this seems like icing on the $3,000 USD cake. Microsoft really got us good here. I've learned my lesson. Microsoft branded laptops, although they look nice, won't see single one of my dollars for a while.
Hey all,
In a last ditch attempt to fix it, I carried out a full reinstall after a reset. Still drains whilst off. I lost 16% in 3 days without touching the laptop.
How the heck are Microsoft getting away with this? Why have the Microsoft agents stopped replying to this thread? Most of all, why does a "premium" laptop like this have such a design flaw that hasn't been fixed?
I'll be keen to see if the SB3 has the same "feature"
