Surface Book 2 battery drain whilst off

I have had a Surface Book 2 for 9 months now. It drains 5-10% battery whilst switched off every day. I know this is a common complaint, yet why is it an issue on a $4000AUD laptop?

Can I return it for a refund as it does not meet my needs?

hey guys, so my laptop is still draining on shutdown :D nothing really got fixed... I already gave up a long time ago though, quite simply put: until the battery actually loses a significant amount of capacity because of constantly staying on the charger, I would've already replaced this laptop. Oh well... thanks for the suggestions though!

Yes, you are correct. I hope it is the definitive solution. If not, try the procedures I posted earlier in this thread. Search all my publications.

That's very kind of you. I removed the wrong version and installed the one that matched most closely with my Windows Version, as you can see in the picture: it looks like it's the same as yours. I hope this is the correct one.

    Thank you again

Thank you for the clarification: the download instructions weren't even half as clear as your post. I will uninstall and reinstall only the correct driver.

Thank you again for your help: it's very much appreciated.

Glad to help you. It is always a relief to have clear solutions, solutions that often do not come from the hand of the Microsoft support team or the team of moderators of this answer platform.

Any problem, you can ask with confidence, I hope I can help.

Finally, once the correct driver package version is installed, it is safe to uninstall the program that is installed. You can uninstall the program without problems. You'll save a few gigs of storage.

I will be running some tests in the coming days: if this solves my battery issue, I will certainly mark your answer as a solution.

    Thank you again.
