Surface Book 2 battery drain whilst off

I have had a Surface Book 2 for 9 months now. It drains 5-10% battery whilst switched off every day. I know this is a common complaint, yet why is it an issue on a $4000AUD laptop?

Can I return it for a refund as it does not meet my needs?

    Hi JamieMac1,

Thank you for posting your concern here.

For us to better understand the issue, please answer the following questions:

    1. When you say that the device is switched off every day, do you mean it's completely shut down?
    2. Have you ran a battery report? If not, try opening CMD (command prompt) then type, powercfg /batteryreport then let us know if you are able to generate the report.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Yes, the PC is totally off. Shutdown, not in standby or hibernating.

I have run the battery report.

I am not alone in this issue. The forum has plenty of other SB2 owners with this issue. I've had it since new. Does the system drain power whilst shutdown - if so why? I've owned nearly a dozen laptops and none have had such problem with battery drain whilst powered down.
