Your reply reinforced what I observed. I'm only saying, using the sp3 with the adapter on another TV and then trying to reconnect to the Series 7, I have to lower the resolution once again. Then after that, connection is normal.
Surface Pro 3 does not connect to recent Samsung Series 7 TV
Hi,
my Surface Pro 1 does connect well with my Samsung Smart TV series 7. However, my new Samsung Pro 3 wont connect. It finds the TV and then tries to establish connection and asks to wait - maybe the TV should not popup a PIN code - but that never happens and the connection times out. Interestingly the Surface Pro 3 gets listed in the Samsung network device settings and is set to "allowed" for connection but the Surface Pro 3 still wont connect. Note i have deployed all latest updates on Samsung TV as well as Surface Pro 3.
I would appreciate to get this working again.
Thx,
Bernd

2015-03-03T19:14:21+00:00 I lowered resolution to 1024x768 and then it worked for me as well, using Samsung 8 series TV from 2014. After this "hand shake" I changed the resolution back to max on SP3 and tried to connect again - bring out charm and choose devices/project and pick the TV but I always have to press "tap to fix the connection". Run a "setup" each time but at least it projects.
Thanks for finding this out.

2015-03-04T22:54:38+00:00 I have tried with my Samsung Serie 7 with the surface in 1080 and 768 resolution. I haven't achieved to make any progress. The TV says that the pairing has finished but the Surface doesn't show any message about the correct pairing. Randomly I have seen that the Surface asked me about the WPS pin but the Samsung TV doesn't show it.
Regards
