Any updates on this issue?? The MS adapter has reached the retail shelfs in Sweden, should one buy it or wait for software updates? My Tv is a Samsung UHD.
Where have you seen this in Sweden?

Hi,
my Surface Pro 1 does connect well with my Samsung Smart TV series 7. However, my new Samsung Pro 3 wont connect. It finds the TV and then tries to establish connection and asks to wait - maybe the TV should not popup a PIN code - but that never happens and the connection times out. Interestingly the Surface Pro 3 gets listed in the Samsung network device settings and is set to "allowed" for connection but the Surface Pro 3 still wont connect. Note i have deployed all latest updates on Samsung TV as well as Surface Pro 3.
I would appreciate to get this working again.
Thx,
Bernd

Same problem here, SP3 and Samsung HU7500 can't connect through Miracast , both devices with the latest firm
Same problem. Still....
Samsung UE65HU7505 UHD-TV (software fully updated to version 1027)
Surface Pro 3 (Windows 8.1)
Mirror Cast won't connect. TV says "connecting to surface pro 3" and then it times out on the SP3 or the TV.
My Samsung phone connects fine to the TV and my Sufrace Pro 3 connects fine to the Sony TV's at work.
This is a huge pain in the butt, as I just bought a brand new TV and a brand new Surface Pro 3, with a clear idea of how my living room setup would be. If I would have known this was gonna be an issue, I would not have replaced my Samsung Series 7 laptop with a surface pro 3.
I guess now, all I can do is hope that Microsoft comes with a windows or SP3 update, or that Samsung comes out with a software update for the TV, that make it work.
If anyone has any other ideas for a solution, it would be very much appreciated.
Microsoft tells us " Buy our Microsoft Miracast Adapter ".
That is their idea of a solution --- sell more merchandise.
My SPI sends the start screen to my Sony UHD tv in Mirror mode and then the screen goes black.
The tv and the SPI both recognize each other and the tv is sitting there in mirror mode apparently waiting for a signal which was, apparently, cut off by the Surface Pro because they don't want us to just be able to mirror to our tv's without BUYING their adapter.
It is obvious the SPI is fully capable of mirroring to the tv without an adapter or the start screen would never appear on the tv at all.
I doubt Sony has the tv programmed to cut off the signal because that would cost them sales if word got out that they were stopping miracasting. There is no upside for Sony to do that.
But there IS an upside for Microsoft to stop / change the signal coming from the SP --- they sell more adapters because it won't work unless you get their adapter which fixes the signal so the Sony can see it again.
